New Rolling Mill!

I’m so excited to return to some of my metal “roots”!

Because metalwork and textiles can both be means to creating “adornments”, I have never seen them as two entirely separate entities. Granted, the equipment and tools can vary a great deal! 

Both deal with texture, color, movement, and composition with a variety of ways of getting to the look and feel of what you are trying to achieve. This month has been a lovely reunion with metal which I often incorporate.

I was also gifted a beautiful dapping block set to hammer out concave and convex shapes by a friend who cheers me on constantly (aren’t friends like that lovely?!)

I wish you all a renewal this month of old strong interests incorporated with the new and ongoing. This is how we arrive at our true original selves and is so rewarding.
